CE was brought aboard the design team for the ACAC Fitness and Wellness Center’s expansion for our expertise in urban civil engineering. This expansion required integrating a new office condominium with the existing ACAC facility and parking deck in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. CE assisted the developer and architect in the land planning and design of the site for the new five-story office condominium project now under construction. CE’s creative, innovative approach to the site’s space limitations maximized its use while meeting storm water management requirements. The new condominium building lines 2nd Street and Monticello Avenue, creating an urban streetscape that complements the city.
